Authority of the Book Of Revelation

I have often been ridiculed for my non-belief in a rapture, or the book of Revelation in general.

I have always urged people to study the origins of the text, so they could learn for themselves.

The book of Revelation was not written by one of the disciples. I realize that is what most people are taught from the pulpit, but that doesn't make it true.

The following article is an excellent read that helps explain all of what was happening during the times of the writing of John of Patmos' vision.

It barely made it into the New Testament at all. There was a reason for that near omission. It was a current prophecy for its day, not current in our day.

Interesting, how we judge prophets today by if and when their prophecies come true, but we do not apply such stringent rules on prophets such as John of Patmos, who lived 2,000 years ago, and whose prophecy did NOT come true, at least not in its entirety.

  1. What are talking about? The Prophecies of John - known as: " The Book Of Revelation " - weren't for His Day at all!

    In fact:

The Seven Churches In Revelation Chapters 2 And 3 - were representative of The Seven Churches Eras, prior to The Last Days which began in 1914 [ with the opening of The First Seal: World War I ].

Then came The Second Seal: " World War II " - just as described!

    Etc....

    What planet are you from?

  2. How interesting that you use the words "in fact" when they do not apply. There are no facts when it comes to prophecies. You can find similarities for some of it, but not all of it, unless one is willing to stretch the truth until just before the rubber band breaks.

I love the way you attempt to insult me by asking what planet I am from, hehehe. I'm being serious, you made me smile.

By the way, if you study New Testament era history you will know exactly what I am talking about when I refer to the prophecies contained in Revelations as being specific to that time frame.

Better yet, Google it. Just make sure you use scholarly sources.

    Thanks for your comments.

  3. Why would I want to use: " Scholarly Sources "? Aren't those the very same people who claim that:

    - Yahweh's true name is: " The Lord "?
    - Yahshua's true name is " Jesus [ ' He Is Zeus ' in the Greek ]?
    - Sunday is The True Day Of Worship?
    - Christmas is Yahshua's Birthday?
    - Etc....

Letting: " Spiritual Babylon " - actually interpret The Scriptures for you, is like asking The Devil Himself for all of the right answers!

The Fact, that you trust them... when the scriptures refer to them as: " Evil Shepherds, False Prophets, and Empty Oracles ", " Ravenous Wolves ", and " The Users Of Untempered Mortar "... factually says a lot more about you, than about me.
