Honor Christ - Save Lives
It’s Easter season and the sorrowful crucifixion emails are filling up my email boxes once again. While the irony of such useless emails has not escaped my attention in past years, I am finally able to verbalize it, I hope. Honor Christ - Save Lives You see, I don’t really believe that Jesus wants all of this attention on his crucifixion and resurrection. Don’t hang up the phone yet, give me a minute to explain. Yes, Jesus suffered and died a horrible death, and we can do nothing about that. BUT, we can honor it. Many people are dying a horrible death right now and we could do something about it, but we don’t. Okay, some of us do, but for most of us, it is very little and not very often. Yet, according to the teachings of Jesus, these suffering people are our brothers and sisters. Would you sit back and watch such things happen to your biological brothers and sisters?
