The Medicine I Need

I've been in misery for almost two weeks now with a skin condition known as cellulitis. I've had it before, but this time, one particular area seemed to refuse to heal. The prescription ointment wasn't working, the home made remedies weren't working, and I was becoming a pretty grouchy person.

The home remedies did bring some relief from the pain for a while, but the condition was not improving. I was beginning to think that I simply could not come up with the medicine I need to heal this condition.

Then yesterday, an amazing thing happened.

My daughter and I went to CVS to get some conditioner for her hair, and decided to buy some ice cream while we were there. The ice cream freezer is at the back of the store, just behind the close out and special sale rack.

As I walked past and glanced at the rack to be sure I didn't miss out on any spectacular sale item, there on the top shelf was a solitary tube of something that had the word aloe in it. Mind you, I had already tried aloe vera, and it wasn't really improving the condition. It wasn't the medicine I needed.

Anyway, this tube was marked down to one fifth of the normal price, so I picked it up to read about the ingredients and what it was used for. Hmmm, this might work.

I bought it for $3, went home and applied it immediately. What a relief! The pain stopped.

Twenty four hours later, I am much better. The condition is almost gone.

Thank God for knowing the medicine I need and supplying it to me in a delightful way, and also in a way that fit my budget.

I love serendipity, especially when it's orchestrated by God and the universe, or the angels that watch over us.

I am now pain free and in my normal state of mind again.

This may seem like a mere coincidence to some people, but for some of us, we celebrate these intervention moments.
